All other hate/love aside:

There's no example of what an actual proposal looks like — which, for my money, is the biggest factor in deciding whether or not I want to use a product.

I'm not sure why, but as soon as this site loaded up, my Macbook started revving up like a 747. Now it's too hot to keep on my lap :(

If anyone is curious, this was made by the folks over at Spring/Summer and developed by a particular magician named Niels Lyngsø who is now miles high on a jet to his holiday destination.

I'll start off by saying I absolutely hate scroll jacking because it wreaks havoc on my hand. With that said, this site makes it feel about as good as scroll jacking can possibly be.

In my opinion the biggest thing most sites screw up after making the decision to implement scroll jacking is that they screw up the damn content pacing. It's either spam like crazy while getting down a tenth of the page or one 'scroll click' blasts you around the site like mad.

Beagle has good pacing and without digging to deep it feels like there is some fun magic happening :). A single 'scroll click' takes you to the next section, good fine but what about when you try and spam scroll? Well it seems like your stuck until the animation finishes or perhaps it's time limited but regardless your're not heading anywhere. Perhaps it's not great for quickly trying to hit the footer but the feeling is so natural that I think it well makes up for it. Weird effects by trying to click into the page but not a biggie assuming this site was primarily built for a mobile experience.

On mobile the scrolling was a fairly strong flick effect and I had some trouble browsing (having to flick multiple times). All these sites are built for mobile so this should just work anyway right?

My biggest negative about the site was that it was extremely hard to concentrate on the actual info being presented because of all the animation chaos. On mobile it was much more subtle and the animations didn't feel like they were in the way. Perhaps part of the issue is that the desktop animation times are too slow?

It's absolutely over the top for a landing page but managed to tickle my fancy. Thanks for sharing and keep up the work!

Everytime people talk about scroll jacking, I wanted to criticize about it too but honestly, I don't really have any problem with it. Totally acceptable to me and I even enjoy sometimes... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Crashed both latest versions of Safari and Chrome at the opening logo animation on my iPhone 4S :(

Love this site, and scroll-jacking - so reviewing it for Unmatchedstyle. But also just listened to a speaker at ConvergeSE last week on accessibility - so I'm torn because there doesn't seem to be a fallback for it if you turn off javascript... so writing an article on that too.

I echo most of the sentiments in the comments already, but as I am a newbie to canvas design, I'm curious how well this sits in the eyes of Google crawlers (since almost everything is a canvas "image")?

The mobile experience has been simply gorgeous. No matter what you might say, this is real cool stuff.

Some of the panels are quite nicely done. I don't mind the scrolling but I feel like it would be better placed on a tour page. Further, I would love to see an example of what the actual proposals look like.

So vivid and fluence scrolling animation! How do you make it? Any software in use or just coding?

You killed scrolling as well as the will to inspect those circus show you made instead of working on good UX.

This is one of those sites where every detail is just perfectly put together. Love the grain on the photos, too.

Way to get ahead of the scroll-jacking heat. As much as I want to bring the heat, I can't. This site is just too fun to look at, I'm using my keyboard to ensure that I do not become frustrated :)

PS. Is gravity-defying triangles, squares and circles the new "it" thing?

This is so amazing. I pulled it up on my phone just to check what you guys had said and WOW. I really thought the mobile view would loose all the cool stuff of the desktop version (as most do). Well done!
