Wow, Catalin, you even work weekends? You're not just a DN power user, you're the DN power user.
There are actually more fonts in this repo than there are on google.com/fonts. For example, Montserrat, in my opinion one of the most beautiful free fonts available, has five styles available in the repo (including Thin, Light & Black), while only two are available on the website.
This is huge for latency-paranoid developers! My biggest hesitation in using web fonts is that I don't want to rely on yet another external file to get things looking right.
There have been repo's before but I like that they decided to release it officially. Good to be able to get the updates for fonts with just one pull.
