This is a great idea, and from the video looks well executed. Defo going to buy it.

I'm not 100% certain why I have this thought, but along with your applescript support, I can see an IFTTT integration being fairly powerful as well.

The out-of-the-box flow seems a bit clunky, but it still looks useful enough to try out. I could see this being extremely useful with Alfred integration.

      Hey Matt S.

thanks for your feedback , much appreciated.

What do you mean with out of the box flow?

We already have Alfred support in our next update.

      Best Thomas

I haven't used it yet so take what I say with a grain of salt!

From the video, the "click-the-item and then click-the-menubar" flow seems awkward to me. I would prefer something like Right-click -> Show Ghostnote, or something.

Unless the "Ghostnote" name is meant to imply that it should not be obvious that there is a note, in which case it makes a bit more sense.

Make no mistake, though, I am going to download this and probably use the hell out of it. I've long wanted to be able to annotate my files in OSX. I've always hated the native labeling system.

Ahh yeah i see what you are saying. It feels clumpsy because I wanted to show that it's different things that have notes. You don't really use it like that in a project.

Will make an actual proper video with narration and proper cuts so it's a little smoother. This was litterally a one take :)

We will add shortcuts too so that should take care of the rest.

Hi everyone I could write a whole book about this project and what i had to go through to get it out but finally I think its there.

Ghostnote allow you to add notes to almost anything on your mac. Files, folders, applications, websites and even documents open inside applications (ex a photoshop document) its literally like no other notes app out there.

You have to watch the video to understand why that is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYQVyokbep0

I made it because I am not good at structuring and often just need notes for specific context but soon realized that this approach actually has quite a lot of potential. It works with most of the adobe suite.

Next update will have support for applescript so you can customize context.

Let me know if you have any kind of feedback. Everything is appreciated.
