Good stuff, Paul. I've found a number of these work well for me (using my real name, putting things out there), and I look forward to trying the others.

I like this article because it actually suggested some things that I don't do and aren't told to do. There's a lot of self help articles, but this one felt especially relevant to getting out there. Cool guy.

      Thanks Annie! I appreciate it.

The one thing that is almost always missing in articles like this is a specific action. That's one thing that always frustrates me. It was a "must have" when I started writing this.

      Have a good weekend!

Thank you this was kind of what I needed. I have been trying to post one blog post a week, which has purpose and is well thought out. I've stuck to it so far but they've been code related and I've wanted to write more about design related things, which I always find so difficult (not completely sure why, mostly confidence I guess). I was putting off a post but after reading this I'm going to make sure my next one is about design and get it done.

Really great read, and loving all your projects from the 52 week challenge so far. Think Tank is my favorite newsletter at the moment!

+1 Nice article mate. Lots of things I really should be doing and some actual advice on where to start, great :)

This is on the nose. I've been/am guilty of this too! Fortunately I've finally got an idea I'm excited enough about to do/share and have been steadily hacking away at it this week. Still can't get that excited about meetups though ;)

Awesome! I'd love to see it.

LOL at the meetups. I know EXACTLY how you feel. SOOO much garbage to sift through, but there are some good ones. I almost always find at least one person I can talk to. Also, don't feel obligated to keep going to the same one. You'll know if it's a waste of time after the first meeting.

Thanks so much Paul! for years I have felt the same way and this year I made a vow to get out there more. Great to know I'm not alone in this.
