This is a great start for those of us in our 20s and 30s who will never be able to retire :-p

This is such an incredible story. As designers, we want to create things people need and truly add value to their lives. IDEO staffs a 90 year old to do just that, and she adds empathy to the process for a demographic group so often forgotten by 20-something product designers.

This reminds us to have empathy for ALL of our potential users, and to constantly think: "Are there ways that we can think about this differently?"

I'll admit, I scoffed at the title but I take that back. Having her on the team is brilliant. Of course younger designers wouldn't think about the issues older people have, such as lack of nimble fingers. I hope she lives to at least 130, her ideas are wonderful.

Love this story! My girlfriend is studying occupational therapy and I very often see how design plays such a big role in her work. Older and disabled people are sadly often overlooked by young product designers.

What a brilliant move by IDEO (and herself).

What an incredible woman. The fact that she's so engaged and passionate about design is so beautiful. There seems to be much wisdom within her that will serve IDEO well!
