At first I was grateful that I'm just outside the top 2% worldwide, but now I'm just sad
I agree, but I just got my current job about six months ago. I'm going to start freelancing on the side soon though, to get more funds to bootstrap a business I plan to launch this year.

Under 4 years, went from living in a van with my band mates traveling the US to now top .08% these stats are bit overwhelming. I feel like I should call my mom or something and thank her. Damn.
right. but i also live where cost of living is higher than 99% of the world. so this seems about right.
