I paid full price for it, and it's been the best investment I've made in software lately.
Bohemian Coding's support is amazing, and they usually take hours to fix bugs, not years like Adobe :P

anything similar to Sketch for Windows? i'm looking for a suitable Fireworks replacement, but seems to be nothing out there.

Take a look at Xara Designer (www.xara.com/uk/products/designer). In certain ways it's actually superior to Sketch.

I would love to buy this, I really would but the UI is just too big and blocky for me. I need the UI to get out of the way and let me work.

I'm not sure - sometimes the Adobe UI feels a little tiny on a 2560x1440 screen, don't you think?
The Sketch interface is certainly very well-padded but I don't feel claustrophobic. It might be a little much on a smaller screen, though.
