OTA update requires at least 5.8 GB of free space on the device so use iTunes to update if you don't it like me.

16 GB iPhone 5, why have you forsaken me???
I'm on the same boat.
If your iPhone doesn't have enough space, use iTunes on your computer and you don't have to worry about it.
Only needed 4.7 GB of free space on my iPhone 5.
I only needed 4.5 GB of free space. But I've seen people needing more than 6.5 GB. So be prepared!
Not updating. Would love to, but I actually fear for the health of my 5th gen iPod Touch... I doubt it's going to hold up well if the 4s has issues
The new blur animation is phenomenal. (they moved away from the mediumesque pseudo blur to an actual lens blur animtion. It's really nice)
Activate spotlight and watch the icons as you pull down.
It's annoying, but if you don't have enough space to do the over-the-air update, you can still update by using iTunes which won't require so much space.
Those of you who need more space on their phone to install the update, you may want to check out John Moltz’s piece: A tale of two restores
so perturbed by this.
I have had a bug in my texts for over a year that is retaining fake data, won't allow me to delete old texts unless I completely wipe the phone out. I rarely have a full gig let alone 5 to allow more data!
You should try using iExplorer to backup/delete them
thanks!
