Ask DN: Handling passwords as an agency

We've got a lot of passwords for our clients websites and social media and it's starting to build up and get confusing.

What's the best way to handle a large volume of passwords?

    1password now has 'shared vaults' which you can use to share password sets between multiple users.

    Sadly it's a Mac only feature at the moment - which prevents us from using it.

    I just use 1password and I think it's a great program!

    The offer tons of great features, reliable and safe encryption and it has a more visual approach if you're looking for a password for a specific site.

      +1 for 1Password. It really doesn’t get any better than that for creating secure passwords and logging in easily.

      Thanks for that. Do you know if it can be used across multiple people or are the passwords just local to your machine?

      We've got a few people that'd need access to the passwords a few times per day so that's kinda where it gets complicated I guess.

        Well you can sync it to Dropbox or iCloud. Maybe you could sync it to a shared Dropbox account or sync it to your account and than share the folder?

        I'm not quite sure what the best way is, but if you send Agile Bits a tweet or an questionl I'm sure they'll sort it out for you ;)
