Exactly this. In the web industry, anyone calling themselves an expert in a field that isn't dead or very rapidly dying is a liar haha. There's no conceivable way to keep up with all the solutions to problems out there, and no point when the answers are a quick search away.

For me, an expert in the industry is someone specialised in a narrow field, not someone who inherently knows more about a subject than anyone else.
If you don't know what a user experience expert is, you probably don't need one. ;)
Quite high-lever niche expertise, not exactly something you would use for a new Wordpress blog.

First time I read something worth in UX. I've dealt with many of those stellar UX-Business-Social-Media gurus and they suck bad.
