Incredibly clean, great typography and whitespace. Images are top notch, icon animations are subtle yet effective. Call to actions are small but still noticeable. The story telling is on point.

    but!

That header gradient animation. We need to talk about it. How does everyone feel about it? To me, it feels distracting enough to render it superfluous. At times, it makes the navigation text in the header difficult to read (very poor contrast). At other times it is distracting and takes away from the main heading.

With a slightly less distracting implementation it would have been a perfect 10/10. But those above two points make the header an 8/10 which would bring the whole page to a 9/10 for me.

I only hold Stripe to a high standard because... well they have absolute geniuses working on these amazing webpages. Ensuring all text is readable is a must.

See failing colour contrast check here: https://imgur.com/a/jkvqIft. I'm assuming they are controlling the colour cycle of the gradient animation? Setting a minimum lightness/alpha/etc could help here.

p.s. I'm not procrastinating you are

I agree! Love the new look, but the gradient is distracting -- especially when it comes up in red. It may have been more effective in softer/lighter colors?

    Saw this the other day:

I don's see what is so bad about the accessibility. The main headline is accessible due to it's size. The navigation is accessible due to being singular words, although it could be better.

Overall, it's a massive increase in accessibility. They are using much higher contrast colors and darker text. They used to be all about using grey text which was awful.

'Accessibility' is pretty easy to measure = WCAG or no?

Has very little to do with ones subjective opinion on font size and color.

To me, it looks dope. I do hear all the accessibility complaints, but it's a landing page where design teams can flex a bit, and they've done just that :D When you scroll down tho, the overall color palette becomes way more cool and formal somehow, reminds the old website quite a lot. Don't know if that matches perfectly with the bold and colorful hero section in my eyes. Feels like they used all their creative energy on the hero section lol. But overall it's an insanely great look that's hard to beat :D

    Looks cool, visually appealing.

I wouldn't worry about accessibility around the marketing headline. Especially in the instance of a 1-second red gradient overlay. If you are determined to read it, you can wait. Accessibility is not 'one size fits all', mind it where it really matters. People who land on Stripe.com are not going to make a decision about the product based on one headline.
