The industry push for trying to get designers to learn react has nothing to with helping designers work better and all to do with getting designers to do the grunt work the engineers whinge about and because designers are often paid less.
Nothing wrong with wanting to learn to code but just make sure you actually demand a higher salary if you do provide this stuff, don't just become a markup monkey for the engineering team to offload boring work onto.
Just shipped a redesign of the React for Design landing page.
Instead of creating static marketing assets I used react to create interactive lesson examples.
I wrote some of the details in this thread: https://twitter.com/philipcdavis/status/1276568861521743873
Would love to hear what you think!
Hey Philip! Great concept.
Caught a small typo in this sentence you might want to fix: "Below is the list of videos that are currently available and a those that are still in the works."
SIte is empty for me
Hey Jacob, I think there was a bug with the site cache. Is it working for you now?
Q: is there a way to integrate React, Figma and Storybook? Interested in knowing if there's a way to bridge these 3 together.
Or at least between two of them.
You can already use storybook with react. Here's a few links to check out if you're interested in react/figma integration:
In addition, there are some more links you might find interesting under the "Library" tab here: https://react.design/links
page seems broken for me
