Why would one recommend tools that they themselves don't use?

Still learning Affinity Photo, but the performance of it is just amazing, especially compared to Photoshop
Nice collection of tools you got there. I've read a couple more in the past and all of these articles seem to add Canva to the list. Not sure why though. Canva as a tool isn't half bad but it's far from being a proper photoshop alternative. Is it to catch their attention or what?
Well, these articles are usually catered towards more novice people rather than actual designers. Tools like Canva might be good starter tools to at least some image editing. I don't see any issue as long as they are at the lower sections of the article. The rest of the tool selection seems fine to me. Still, I wouldn't add Canva, though.
true and I think they are actually more gathered towards getting a lot of clicks to get ad revenue.
This content caters to Ads, search engines and clicks and the authors are usually running thin on topic ideas and the content to fill them.
The audience is secondary.
