How do you setup your project? How do you organise your files? Tips for color grading etc?
Think you're on the wrong site unless you're specifically asking about animation with premiere and AE.
No reason this couldn't be asked here, tbh.
Can't tell if you're trolling or just dense?
Video editing isn't designer work in any context.
"Should designers edit video?"
That has nothing to do with the conversation. But if you're asking me... ok, why not? Should designers code? Should designers cook? Should designers breathe?
Still doesn't make video editing design work. Still doesn't make this site the place to post this.
So I'm currently working in after effects/Animate/Premier to produce some product videos for my company, as I am the sole designer. Later I'll pivot back onto building HMI in an angular app, and tomorrow I'll probably be preflighting some brochures.
First off. Fight*
Second, nowhere is anyone trying to fight you. So you can take the immature sarcastic attitude somewhere else.
Third, good for you.
Fourth, that still doesn't mean this is a forum/site/job board for video editors. Design and video editing are two completely different fields with different technology, hardware, software, and skillsets. There potentially could be some overlap like importing graphics or creating graphics to include in your edits, but nowhere is it design work. The lack of answers here should also be a big hint as well.
Christ you must be fun at parties.
Clearly more fun than you.
Great rebuttal. Such decisive and empowering talking points. Keep up the good work gurlfran.
