    Congratulations Fredo! I have been using Protopie in Dubai for two years now. In the article, engineers handoff seems like the main topic, but I feel this is where ProtoPie is short.

    Project starts on Figma, Sketch, or XD, and we use these tools or 3rd parties like Zeplin to handoff to engineers. I assume most of the designers don’t start a design project on ProtoPie before using these primary design tools.

    How can I hand off the specs on ProtoPie to engineers? The article makes it sound like an easy task, but it’s not unless I am missing the point.

    ProtoPie's promising, but it doesn't offer much beyond what Axure already does.

    I abandoned it after realizing that it doesn't have a textarea component that allows for text-wrapped input fields.

    Can protopie do forms and integrate with some real data (json), e.g. if you want to mockup a fintech app.

    Or is it mainly to prototype UI motion?

      Forms yes, you can use the input feature and utilize native and physical keyboards.

      Real data...not yet, but you could use formulas and variables in ProtoPie. They will get you a whole lot in terms of realism and interactivity, especially for a fintech prototype.

      ProtoPie is about prototyping interactions first and foremost, not just motion or animations.
