I have good eyesight, but still prefer dark mode for eye strain AND aesthetics.

Most important takeaway: We are all different, but offering choice to the user is most important. Nowadays, in the world of flat design, providing a dark variance of your UI isn't really much work anymore and it will much increase your appeall. (especially during dark/night reading & people who stay longer on your website)
