This is one of the best posters designs I have seen this year (imgur.com)

It's incredibly average IMO.
Wilson said it was nice, he didn't say it was the most groundbreaking piece of design this century. Enjoy some good design every now and then and stop being so critical. Sure, maybe it should have said "best movie poster so there's some context for those that don't know much about this film.
On a side note, this film looks like it'll be a very interesting case study for editors and directors.
Thank you!
Okay. Not really that great, to be honest. It's just a very generic army mise-en-scene that you see done for many other army movies. Masking it in big numbers is doesn't really change that.
It's clean.
I prefer these so far:
Dark Phoenix
Knife + Heart
Last Black Man in San Francisco
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Wonder Woman 1984
Love them!
LOL ok. Agree with all. In my defense I didn't said "Best one ever". Also, I didn't give more context to my post. My bad. What I meant, is that it doesn't fall on the same "Big heads in the sky" and others movie posters cliches. For reference here are another three posters released this same week: https://twitter.com/PopCorn_Media/status/1178732352375332866 See what I meant?
It's nicely implemented, but nothing ground-breaking. What's the reasoning?
I would like to know what I'm not seeing here
