    I am actually quite happy with that news because I really prefer paid games over freemium games on mobile. Even if I don't own them digitally I'm fine because all I want is the experience.

    For people who are worried about Triple AAA games, there are other ways to play them; Apple probably knows that it is too hard of a battle for the gain at the end and they will do like Nintendo and focus on small indie games scene. And according to the success of the Switch, people love those small indie games

      I think you're on the right wavelength here. I am guessing Apple are in no way going for any of the hardcore gaming market share here.. I see this as a way Apple can ensure parents are not simply buying their kids 1 off apps, but instead paying a subscription to a gaming service... So Apple can now be provided with yet another constant revenue stream.

      Sure - there will be others who buy into this, but I see kids with parents ipads as being a majority of the customer base.

      OR I've misunderstood all of this and they are making some seriously odd choices.
