You do realize that most of these are peripherals are going to be USB type c within a year right? The same happened when Apple started using USB for keyboards when the rest of the world was using I/O inputs. Constantly berating the choices Apple has made is a bit circle-jerky and doesn't contribute to the design community at all.

I know, Adam. I mean... I bought the damn thing. That doesn't mean I can't have a bit of fun of the current situation, though.

Maybe they will, but I don't plan to change all my stuff in one year. The change is too drastic. Maybe 2 usual and 2 type c would've led to a smoother transition.

And if they are so confident on changing the trends, why not use a type c for iPhone 7 too. It's just ridiculous that you need a dongle just to connect it to your new MacBook.

Yeah, let's dump and rebuy all of our keyboard, mice, cameras, displays...

Yepp. Replacing perfectly functioning devices just because it requires a dongle seems like a responsible way to meet the future. #irony

Holy shit that's a hell of an optimistic prophecy.

You honestly think within a year Wacom et al will ship a USB-C Cintiq? To satisfy THE LATEST VERSION OF ONE LAPTOP, FROM ONE MANUFACTURER when a massive number of their customers are not even working on laptops let alone apple ones.
