To be fair, they do offer a WordPress "one-click app" which ostensibly sets everything up for you. It's still not managed, but hopefully they have it configured to run on the minimum memory you can give it (1GB).
No idea if Ix used this, but it's a thing.
I don't have issues setting up servers, the misunderstanding here is you assuming my problems with Digital Ocean were inadequate server setup and maintenance, when it had nothing to do with that.
Looks like Digital Ocean is Flywheel's host: https://techcrunch.com/2013/09/24/flywheel-launches-a-premium-wordpress-hosting-and-management-service-for-designers/

“Flywheel built an entire WordPress hosting service on top of our cloud,” Uretsky said. “They are running over a thousand droplets for their users. The integration is so tight that customers can’t tell that we’re running the service.”
Contrary to popular belief in this thread, I actually knew this. Again, none of you actually know my issue with DO, and yet you all still try to argue against something you don't know anything about. In fact, none of you have even asked what the problem was, you all just assumed it was user error and that Digital Ocean is a perfect service that can't possibly have any issues on their end.

I wouldn't imply that DO as a service is poor in that case. They have incredible service and support, but they aren't a managed host. It's on the customer to be capable of setting a server up to deal with memory issues that arise with various platforms you choose to install.
I'd call your situation misunderstood expectations more than anything.
