    How far out are we from getting layers, rulers, swatches, and guides (and / or smart guides)? Those are the things keeping me from using it.

      Swatches. The default color palette is useless.

      You'll see all of those things surfacing in the product over the next several months - exact timing and ordering TBD, but everything you listed there is high priority for us.
