My jaw is kind of dropped that you're doing this ama. I have a lot of respect for your opening yourself up to DN like this. Thanks for that.

My question: Where do you intend for XD to fit in my web or ui design workflow? Do you mean for it to replace photoshop/illustrator/sketch entirely, come after some of the heavy lifting has been done, or other?

edit: some context. You're probably more aware than we are that alotismissing from XD (and sensibly so. it's a beta). My question comes from the consideration that maybe some of it was left out on purpose and isn't in the roadmap.

Thanks for your kind words Daniel!

We know that Photoshop is great for bitmap manipulation and Illustrator is great for vector artwork creation, but they were not initially designed for UX Design, now a big and more complex field. You can continue to use these tools for the purposes above, but we hope that you can improve your pace and become more productive designer by using Adobe XD for UX Design and Prototyping, and Sharing to learn and iterate fast.

This first public preview is just a foundation to host a lot more features which will land in our monthly releases. It's fast and ready to grow for the years ahead. This is just the beginning of a fun and long journey.

Feel free to send your feature requests to UserVoice.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
