I highly recommend Airmail. It's always been great and at a great price (support dev's!).
Most of the other options out there try too hard to reinvent the wheel. I like email the way it is. No more, no less.
Other's have Mac apps that are, for the most part, a website in its own .app container. That kind of difference is huge for a lot of reasons: UX, speed, response time and integrations across the OS.
Back to Airmail; now that they have an iOS app too it's cool to get a unified experience on both platforms. Even before that Airmail was much better than Mailbox in my book.
