My go-to used to be Jekyll, then I tried out Siteleaf for a while (which is great if you need a GUI to manage sites, especially for clients), but now I use Middleman.
If you're good with Ruby, Middleman is perfect because it essentially solves the same problems that Jekyll solves, with the added extensibility and power of Ruby.
