I actually had this same reaction. It's just boring rich-dude-chic. It's the identical aesthetic of all these copy+paste upper-middle-class gated community homes from my area. Doesn't look like a designer lives there at all.

Exactly. I want to think these are the photos of the house BEFORE he bought it. Although I'm not sure he's had the time to add some personality to it since then.

I often jog up the stairs on billionaire row when I’m in San Francisco. Jony's house is having huge renovations.
